Art Made This

In the autumn of 2017 eight female artists added colour to the countryside of Varberg through the art project Art Made This.
This mural was inspired on how we see, or how we choose not to see things and people around us. I wanted to shed light on those people who have become invisible in our society. The goal is to show beauty where it is unexpected.

A toy version of Varberg's coast with a playing child. Having the opportunity to see everything for the first time through a child's eyes and keeping curiosity alive is one of the most valuable challenges you can have as an artist.

Shall we dream?

The tunnel in Vallda, Kungsbacka, is around 50m2. I collaborated with school students in the area and interpreted the children's ideas. The goal is to increase the feeling of security with art. The children wanted me to illustrate the forest and the sea, the nature they have in their surroundings. In the entrance of the tunnel (from both sides) there is a boy that is about to cross a dream world where the main characters are animals that act as humans. Nature makes everyone feel free and safe. Animals that do the same activities that we do create a sense of unity and we recognize ourselves. We are different but are still part of the same community. The work is called "Shall we dream?".
